What We Do
Building Community Through Everyday Moments
Whether you're looking to lend a hand, meet someone new, or reconnect with your block, our programs are designed to help you take that first step.
We focus on the simple, powerful ways neighbors can support one another — and we create the space, structure, and encouragement to make that happen.
Simple Meals, Open Invitations
These relaxed, monthly potlucks bring neighbors together around shared food and conversation.
No sign-up sheets or formal RSVPs — just a chance to sit outside, pull up a chair, and get to know the people who live nearby.

Meet Your Neighbors

Marisol Vega
Marisol brings 12 years of experience in grassroots organizing and a deep love for front-porch conversations. She believes real change starts with listening — preferably over coffee and homemade tamales.

Shari Patterson
A former teacher and lifelong volunteer, Shari designs programs that make connection feel easy and natural. She's happiest when neighbors turn from “those people down the street” into real friends.

Renee Kim
Renee helps amplify the voices of everyday neighbors through photos, blog posts, and short videos. Her favorite thing is capturing the small moments that show just how big kindness can be.

Doug Halpbern
With a background in carpentry and a garage full of gadgets, Doug runs our tool share program and loves teaching others how to fix what’s broken. He’s known around the neighborhood as “the guy with the good ladder and better advice.”

Jefferey Park
Jefferey connects people with causes and makes sure everyone who raises their hand feels supported and appreciated. He has a gift for remembering names — and for turning first-time volunteers into regulars.

Neighbor Link
Neighbor Link is our match-up system for sharing kindness: need a ride to the store? Looking for someone to check in on your pet during the day? Willing to help shovel a sidewalk? We connect those in need with those nearby who can help.
Sidewalk Stories
This creative program includes chalk art days, neighborhood murals, pop-up storytelling events, and collaborative public art projects. It’s a joyful way to reclaim shared space, lift local voices, and express who we are — together.
