Urban Homesteading

Late Summer/Fall Session begins Sunday August  1,  3:30 to 5:30 pm

Food Depot to Health is committed to impacting the health disparities and economic inequality experienced by many people in our community.  In the spring of 2020 we started our first cohort of households who walked with us, as Urban Homesteading participants, and eventually ambassadors, sharing what they know so that more and more people are set free from dependence on systems that are not sustainable.

Homesteading is a lifestyle of self-sufficiency, with goals such as: subsistence agriculture, collaborative gardening, home preservation of food, cottage industry and entrepreneurship.  Our focus is on community wide health and wellness, and we are starting a movement with the intention of creating a model that can empower individuals and communities to take charge of their food, health, and earning potential.

We are located in Cleveland Ohio, and will begin our 2021 Urban Homesteading 10 week sessions in April and start new cohorts throughout the summer and into the fall and early winter as we teach people how to grow year round in our northern climate.  C
